Spinnax develops and produces sensors and applications that allow athletes to capture their body movements and those of their sports equipment in multiple dimensions. This allows athletes to analyze their skills, improve, document their experiences, compare themselves with others, exchange ideas, and play.
The founders of Spinnax wondered one day why there was no tool that allowed them to record their tricks and sessions easily and without external help. How cool would it be if there was a history, if you could analyze your tricks, if you had a digital coach?
The idea wouldn’t let them go: What technology could be used to capture the movements? Could a sensor on the skateboard record the tricks? They talked to other skaters about their idea. In addition to many positive reactions, even more good ideas emerged from the conversations. A digital judge, showing the best skate spots in town, playing Game of Skate without being in the same place, or even a social network just for riders?
From their network, they assembled a team of specialists. They worked hard for over 2 years, facing many setbacks but achieving even more successes in developing the sensor and app. And successfully built the first prototypes, taking the plunge in early 2022 to found Spinnax.
